One gastro-resistant hard capsule of Mutaflor contains 2.5 – 25 x 10⁹ viable cells (CFU) of Escherichia coli Nissle 1917. The bacteria is lyophilized and filled into gelatine capsules which are enteric coated in order to open up when the pH is at a safe level for the bacteria to survive.

Mutaflor should be stored in the refrigerator (2 – 8°C). A short interruption of refrigeration (less than 72 hours or 3 days) does not do any harm to the product.

When Mutaflor is shipped to customers it will be packaged with reusable cold packs which keep the package cool for about 18 hours as a buffer during delivery.
